Periodontitis

Periodontitis causes permanent tooth and bone damage. Tissue surrounding the teeth is destroyed beyond repair generating problems of sensitive teeth and decay on the root surface.  The gums recede, exposing more and more of the roots until the teeth become loose and can eventually fall out.
